Happy Friday ATX! 🤠 It’s Formula 1 Weekend and Texas plays Georgia tomorrow. This will be one for the books! 🏁🏈🤘🏻
Wow 40 of these newsletters 😎 I hope you all had a great time these past few weeks at ACL, but we've got another jam packed weekend here for you with Formula 1 bringing one of their 24 annual races to COTA..

Weekend Forecast: Austin is THE place to be this weekend globally.
They’re calling it the biggest weekend ever in Austin and while we have experienced some pretty insane weekends living here most of our lives, this weekend really does take the cake. 🍰
Just check out the event list below. Celebrities galore. College Game Day. F1 Sprint Race. F1 Gran Prix. SOOOOO many afters, and perfect weather to round it out.
Best thing we ate this week… Have you ever been drunk late at night on East 6th Street? Yeah me too. Let me introduce you to my new favorite late night food truck over there. My little sister told me that Halal Time was her favorite Mediterranean food truck and it piqued my curiosity, about a week later I gave it a try and was blown away by how delicious it was. It’s a cut above any of the other Gyro/Halal places that I have had. I have had it twice in the past 10 days now I enjoy it so much.
Pro tip: Get the spicy sauce and ask for extra pickles. 🔥
East Side King
Most fun we had this week… I have been spending a lot of time at Austin Garden & Studio lately since my band has been playing there a lot and they have a fantastic environment, great drinks, and some really talented musicians on most nights of the week.
It is a sweet complex with an inside bar dubbed “The Studio” with fender guitars laid into the walls, an amazing outside area with a big stage and screen for live music and sports watch parties, a rooftop bar called IYKYK, and a classy cocktail lounge that just reopened yesterday called Bar Mischief. They also have 2 food trucks to satisfy your munchies.
This place has a little something for everyone, and they’re working hard to establish themselves as a go to venue for live music and events in Austin. If you have not been, check it out! They have a Texas VS. Georgia Tailgate on Saturday, and an F1 watch party with a Red Bull Formula 1 car making an appearance on Sunday.
(My band plays the Texas VS. Georgia tailgate from 4-6:30 leading up to the game)

New Business that we want to try… It’s not exactly a new business, but Gibson Street Bars Halloween pop up bar looks awesome! We’re going to make it a point to check out a handful of these Halloween bars over the next week and we’ll report back which are our favorites! I think we might just start with this one…

The cactus garden surrounding the pool, the mirrored outdoor dining table, the black kitchen, and the hexagonal tiles in the living room are some of my favorite features on this one. It’s just so sophisticated and cool the way it all comes together.
