Happy Friday ATX! 🤠 It’s the Friday that kicks off one of the craziest weekends of the year so far in Austin, Texas. Get ready for a good one.
I thought I’d be attending ACL this weekend but won’t be able to make it because my band has some shows that came up… But I’ll certainly be out on the town taking advantage of all of the fun things happening surrounding the festival!
This weekend encapsulates why I love Austin, Texas perfectly. Live music, top notch comedy, secret sets from huge artists, wild afterparties. Austin is THE place to be this weekend, so if you’re here you should feel pretty lucky.

Best thing we ate this week… Yesterday we picked up Sa-Ten and all I can say is wowwww! I love Japanese food and this place did not disappoint. I had the chicken katsu plate with fuji macaroni salad, kale salad, and a side of garlic anchovy toast made on their house made japanese milk bread. Kiana had the chicken karaages plate with a side of potato salad, kale salad, and rice. It was amazing, we will definitely be going back here.
Sa-Ten
Most fun we had this week… Austin has some pretty sweet speakeasy’s but one of my favorites is called The Treasury. It’s hidden behind Shang Ri La (directions: go out the backdoor into the patio area, and just keep going left until you get to an industrial looking door with a doorbell next to it. Ring the doorbell and if theres any capacity, they’ll unlock the door and let you in) this place is awesome to me because it really does seem like a secret. You walk through an entire patio of people that seem to have no idea that it exists and its a pretty cool experience. The drinks are very nice craft cocktails, and the bank themed bar is a vibe. Highly recommend seeing if you can get in here next time you are strolling East 6th Street.
Pro tip: Try the Jungle Bird if you like rum.
The Treasury
New Business that we want to try… The iconic NYC cocktail bar called The Flower Shop officially opened up their new space in Austin last night. The decor is so tasteful and I feel like this will undoubtably be one of Austin’s new favorite bars. I cant wait to go see it this weekend! I’d recommend making a reservation because this spot is pretty hyped right now.
